Market Manager


ABB offers products and solutions for low and medium voltage solutions to connect, protect, control and measure a wide range of electrical systems for all major industries, including the residential sector.


We are seeking a Market Manager in Jakarta to join our team in Power Grids division, who will support the sales team in marketing and sales activities for the Global Business Unit.

Reporting to the Local Sales Manager, your key areas of responsibility will include, but are not limited to:
• Lead the implementation of global strategies and initiatives to ensure appropriate sales and marketing. Maintain cost controls for assigned business unit.
• Responsible for the demand market and demand side budget. Ensure proper coverage in the market covering Utilities, Industries, Infrastructure and Transport segment.
• Develop business strategies, sales and marketing plans, participate in the budgeting process and prepare the market information.
• Coordinate and support the factories/supplying units’ sales and marketing activities. Analyze the market drivers, trends, key competition and emerging technologies.
• Develop appropriate relationships with customers and ensure that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed and skilled.
• Ensure proposals are developed and approved to enable negotiations. Organize and promote after sales service activities.

To be considered for this role, you should have a degree in Electrical Engineering, with 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in Utility/Power business with exposure to either turnkey substations or high voltage products or system integration for substations (EPCs/Service Providers). You should have exposure and detailed knowledge of substation and practices of PLN for substations, and also be proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint presentation. Candidates with MBA in Sales & Marketing will have an added advantage.
